Persians

In "Rubaiyat", its main focus is on life and love. It tells us that life is short and that we shouldnt take advantage but to live in the moment. It also tells us to be happy and spend time with the ones you love like in XII "A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread- and Thou Beside me singing in the Wilderness- Oh, Wilderness were Paradise enow!" It also tells us that it doesnt matter what your social status is because when you die all that matters is how you lived life. In "Manners of Kings"it talked about the golden rule. To treat others the way you would want to be treated. If you treat others with kindness you will go far and be successful in life, while treating others disrespectfully will lead you to your downfall. In all it tells us to love others, live life to the fullest, and to treat others with kindness. The Persians lived spiritual lives and they believed that Allah would reward their good deeds. They were patient people and their values were very close to the Christian beliefs.
